At 123 AM CDT...A line of strong thunderstorms was located along a line extending from near Big Lagoon to 45 nm south of Oriskany Reef...moving northeast at 15 knots.
Locations impacted include... Big Lagoon, West Santa Rosa Sound, Pensacola Beach, Oriskany Reef, Pensacola Pass, Gulf Shores Beach, Fort Pickens, and Perdido Pass.
The primary threats from these storms are wind gusts up to 30 knots...locally higher waves...and heavy downpours. Boaters should consider seeking safe harbor until these storms have passed.
Weather conditions support the development of waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous waves and seas. If a waterspout is sighted...seek safe harbor immediately.
