At 434 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Clarksville, or 8 miles east of Virgilina, moving southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Mecklenburg County, including the following locations... Nelson, Buffalo Junction, and John H Kerr Reservoir.
