At 229 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with torrential rainfall 12 miles north of Morganton, or 5 miles north of Table Rock. This storm was nearly stationary.
Locations to be impacted include... Table Rock, Gamewell, Lake James, Lake James State Park, Collettsville, and Jonas Ridge.
Very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.
