Flash Flood Warning

At 946 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Davenport. Multiple roads in the city have water over them and a portion of Western Avenue is closed. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain has fallen over much of the warned area this evening. Flash flooding is ongoing.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, East Moline, Silvis, Eldridge, Le Claire, Hampton, Port Byron, Buffalo, Rapids City, Princeton, Riverdale, Carbon Cliff, Panorama Park, Rock Island Arsenal, Davenport Municipal Airport, Campbells Island and Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.
