At 216 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Palmer Lake, or 19 miles northwest of Colorado Springs, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, brief half inch hail, and torrential rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Quick ponding of water on roadways, and enhanced runoff may cause quick rises in creeks, streams and normally dry washes.
Locations impacted include... Monument, Palmer Lake, and Gleneagle.
