The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... The Bright Angel Creek Basin below the Dragon Bravo Fire scar... Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* Until 945 PM MST.

* At 749 PM MST, a river gauges along Bright Angel Creek reported 3.5 to 4.0 foot rises from early thunderstorms producing heavy rain. While upstream gauges at Cottonwood Campground show falling water levels, the flood wave is still expected to reach Phantom Ranch within the next 30-60 minutes. Between 1.25 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. No additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Bright Angel Creek Basin below the Dragon Bravo Fire scar.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Ribbon Falls, Bright Angel Campground, Cottonwood Campground, Upper Cremation Camp Site, Lower Cremation Camp Site, Roy's Beach Camp Site and Boat Beach Camp Site.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Colorado River and Bright Angel Creek.
