* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.
* WHERE...Big Blue River near Crete.
* WHEN...Until Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Extensive flooding is widespread. Past floods have not flooded the urban areas of Crete.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 24.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Thursday was 24.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.4 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday afternoon. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 29.8 feet on 06/16/1967. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
