At 543 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over South Salt Lake, or over Murray, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Sandy, Murray, Bountiful, Morgan, Taylorsville, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Holladay, South Salt Lake, North Salt Lake, Millcreek, Cottonwood West, East Canyon State Park, Emigration Canyon, Mount Olympus, East Millcreek, Canyon Rim, and Kearns.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 298 and 311. Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 118 and 133.
