* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Ashe, Watauga and Wilkes.
* WHEN...Until 145 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1226 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Fish Dam Creek, Cub Creek, Elk Creek, Fall Creek, Dugger Creek, Call Creek, Big Warrior Creek and Beaver Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Boone... North Wilkesboro... Wilkesboro... Blowing Rock... Deep Gap... Wilbar...
