* Special Marine Warning for... Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD... Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD...

* Until 645 PM EDT.

* At 444 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 34 nm northwest of Leesylvania State Park to 36 nm northwest of Quantico to 44 nm west of Aquia Creek, moving east at 25 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

Potomac Creek, Maryland Point, Nanjemoy Creek, Port Tobacco River, Leesylvania State Park, Smallwood State Park, Quantico, Gunston Hall, Mathias Point, U.S. 301 Nice Memorial Bridge, Mason Neck State Park, Indian Head, Occoquan Bay, Fort Hunt, Popes Creek, Fairview Beach, and Fort Washington.
