...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Illinois...
Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Agricultural and park land is inundated near the river. Residential property is threatened near the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 7.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 7.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected fall below stage tonight, but then rise above flood stage again Friday and continue rising to a crest of 7.9 feet early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 7.9 feet on 02/23/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
