Flood Warning

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

White River at Edwardsport.

White River at Elliston.

White River at Newberry.

White River at Petersburg.

.Moderate flooding continues on the White River, with all gages now below major flood stage. The crest of the White is at Centerton as of early Monday afternoon. The crest is forecast to reach Spencer Tuesday evening and points downriver thereafter, getting Petersburg over the weekend. Additional rainfall later this week could lengthen the amount of time in flood and possibly raise downstream crests.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Newberry.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, County Road 550 S in Greene County begins to flood. County Road 600 W just north of the river flooded by possibly more than a foot of water for a short distance in Mary Long Cutoff Area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:30 AM EDT Monday the stage was 11.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 18.3 feet Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
