Details

* WHAT...Small stream and creek flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Maine, including the following county, Washington.
* WHEN...Until 445 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 304 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream and creek flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Rain has tapered in the advisory area. Additional thunderstorms developing north of the advisory area may slowly track over the area. This may cause more excessive rainfall in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lubec, Perry, Pembroke, Cutler, East Machias, Whiting, Dennysville, Edmunds, Marion and Trescott. - For flood safety visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood
