For the following areas... Waters from Cape Lookout to Surf City NC from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM...

At 854 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 24 nm southeast of Atlas Tanker to 27 nm southeast of 14 Buoy to 38 nm south of Big Ten Fathom, moving east at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
