Devils River At Bakers Crossing 19N Of Comstock affecting Val Verde County.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Devils River at Bakers Crossing 19N Of Comstock.
* WHEN...Until late Friday night.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, (4.6 meters), Major flooding reaches campers, automobiles, and recreational vehicles well away from the river above Juno to Amistad Reservoir. Livestock are cut off and potentially drowned. There is widespread damage to roads and fences.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:15 PM CDT Thursday was 15.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 3.1 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 6.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.5 feet on 09/23/1990. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
