* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 101.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Cass, and Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Bad River Reservation, the Red Cliff Band and the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake, Hinckley, Lena Lake and, East Lake areas. Other locations including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
