Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County.
Iowa River at Wapello affecting Louisa County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Iowa River at Wapello.
* WHEN...Until late tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, agricultural land near the river is flooded and water covers most islands. Water starts rising onto secondary roads in Wapello Bottoms.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 21.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 15.7 feet Friday, October 02. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
