The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northern Washington County in southwestern Pennsylvania...

* Until 915 PM EDT.

* At 646 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in South Strabane, Union, and Nottingham Town. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... McMurray, Washington, Canonsburg, Avella, Gastonville, Cecil-Bishop, Wolfdale, McGovern, East Washington, McDonald, Houston, Eighty Four, Hickory, Finleyville, West Middletown, Meadow Lands, Midway and Atlasburg.
