* Flash Flood Warning for... East Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona...
* Until 915 PM MST.
* At 619 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tucson, Sahuarita, Drexel Heights, Vail, Corona De Tucson, East Sahuarita, San Xavier Community, Summit, Tucson International Airport and San Xavier Mission.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 19 between mile markers 42 and 58. Route 83 between mile markers 47 and 48...and between mile markers 52 and 58.
This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Country Club Rd at Franco Wash, Houghton Rd from I-10 & Sahuarita Rd, Santa Clara Ave at El Vado Wash, Sahuarita Rd west of Wilmot Rd, Andrada Rd east of Wentworth Rd, Mission Rd from Valencia Rd to San Xavier Rd, Old Vail COnnection Rd at Franco Wash and Calle Rinconada Rd from Andrada Rd to Sahuarita Rd.
