The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio... West Central Roane County in central West Virginia... Jackson County in northwestern West Virginia...

* Until 1045 PM EDT.

* At 744 PM EDT, doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Ripley, Ravenswood, Sandyville, Kenna, Fairplain, Evans, Given, Statts Mills, Cottageville, Gay, Portland and Mount Alto.

This includes Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 124 and 150.
