For the Rio Grande...including Columbia Bridge, Laredo...Major flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Rio Grande at Columbia Bridge.
* WHEN...Until late Sunday night.
* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, or 9.1 meters, major lowland flooding occurs. Water is several feet deep over most of the mall and customs parking lots. The lowest residences are threatened and roads and low bridges become very dangerous.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 18.4 feet (5.6 meters). - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet (4.9 meters). - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.1 feet (9.8 meters) just after midnight tonight.
