* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 10 feet and dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...West facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A persistent westerly swell continues to produce hazardous surf and a high risk of rip currents along west-facing reefs through this afternoon, potentially needing to be extended further if the surf remains elevated.
