The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Oregon, the southeastern portion of Fire Weather Zone 624 covering the Fremont National Forest and all of Fire Weather Zone 625, covering the South Central Oregon deserts and BLM Land in Eastern Lake and Western Harney counties.
* WINDS...West to southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
* MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY...6 to 14 percent.
