Coastal Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Up to one to two feet of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways with compromised dune structures.

* WHERE...Areas along the beaches, Pamlico Sound, and adjacent tidal creeks.

* WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Up to 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways with compromised dune structures resulting in a low threat of property damage. Portions of Highway 12 remain closed between Pony Pens and the ferry dock. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure may still be inundated. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes adjacent to the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tides on Sunday are around 8:20 AM and 8:40 PM.
