The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Central La Paz County in west central Arizona...

* Until 1030 PM MST.

* At 636 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

This includes the following highways... US Highway 60 between mile markers 31 and 37. AZ Interstate 10 between mile markers 27 and 36.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Apache Wash, Poormans Wash, Bouse Wash, Cholla Wash, La and Tyson Wash.
