Turkey Creek near De Witt affecting Saline and Gage Counties.
.This update reflects a slight decrease in the forecasted river crest.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Turkey Creek near De Witt.
* WHEN...Until late tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Floodwaters begin to impact the town of DeWitt, similar to what was experienced in 2015.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 26.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:45 AM CDT Saturday was 26.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling to 11.7 feet early Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 23.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 26.2 feet on 06/05/2008. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
