* WHAT...Urban areas, creeks and rivers flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. A FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR AREAS NEAR ANCHOR LAKE
* WHERE...Southeastern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Hancock County in southern Mississippi... Harrison County in southern Mississippi... Southeastern Pearl River County in southern Mississippi...
* WHEN...Until 630 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Several structures are flooded and some sand bagging operations are continuing. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Local media have reported water rescues.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 331 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated flooding. Between 8 and 14 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Slidell, Picayune, Bay St. Louis, Waveland, Diamondhead, Eden Isle, Pearl River, Kiln, Stennis Space Center, Shoreline Park, Mcneil, Pearlington, Lyman, Saucier and Slidell Airport. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
