* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...A portion of southern California, including the following areas, Chiriaco Summit, Joshua Tree NP East and Joshua Tree NP West.
* WHEN...Through this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel will continue to bring moderate to heavy rainfall at times this morning before tapering off this afternoon. Localized rainfall rates of one to two inches per hour will be possible at times, which may lead to localized flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
