Coastal Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Up to 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level expected in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

* WHERE...Areas along Bogue Banks beaches, Bogue Sound, the Newport and White Oak Rivers, and adjacent tidal creeks, and areas along the lower Neuse River, Pamlico, Core and Back Sounds, and adjacent tidal creeks.

* WHEN...From 7 AM to 1 PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding is expected for areas adjacent to the Bogue and Back Sounds, including Beaufort and locations from Morehead City west to Cedar Point. Low lying areas in downtown Morehead City and Beaufort expected to see minor inundation. Additional minor flooding expected on Highway 12 near Cedar Island and Highway 70 adjacent to the Core Sound, as well as for areas adjacent to the Southern Pamlico Sound and Core Sound (Cedar Island to Harkers Island) and Neuse River, inlcuding Cedar Island to Merrimon.
