* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Polk County in southeastern Texas... East Central San Jacinto County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 1045 PM CDT.

* At 832 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 6 and 16 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
