At 608 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles south of Apache Lake, or 11 miles northeast of Gold Canyon, moving west at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include... Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, Saguaro Lake, Canyon Lake, Superstition Mountains, Gold Camp, Kings Ranch, Lost Dutchman State Park, Goldfield, Apache Lake, and Tortilla Flat.
This includes US Highway 60 between mile markers 198 and 206.
