* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Southeastern Columbia County in east central Georgia... Central Richmond County in east central Georgia...
* WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 838 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grovetown, Evans, Martinez, Fort Gordon, Augusta, Augusta Mall, Village Plaza Shopping Center, Daniel Field, South Augusta, Summerville, Augusta National Golf Club, Glendale, Midtown, Riverwood, Augusta Regional Airport, Windy Ridge Estates, Westwick, Glenn Hills and Waverly. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 187 and 201. Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 14. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
