At 1007 AM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding with an estimated 1 foot of water moving over FM 2400 in northeastern Terrell County. Doppler radar continued to indicate showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen during the past hour and some locations have received up to 8 to 10 inches of rainfall since yesterday. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Sheffield and Terrell County Gas Plant. Portions of State Highway 349 and FM 2400.
