A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD... Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point to North Beach MD... Chesapeake Bay north of Pooles Island MD... Chester River to Queenstown MD... Eastern Bay...

At 531 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 20 to 25 knots. This thunderstorm was located near Dobbins Island, moving northeast at 30 knots. Frequent lightning will continue to the primary hazard though.
