The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Lamar County in north central Texas...
* Until 1100 AM CDT.
* At 828 AM CDT, emergency management reported multiple county roads flooded across northern Lamar County and that all drainage systems are at capacity. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen with more heavy rain expected to fall over the next few hours for parts of the warning. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Powderly, Arthur City, Camp Maxey, Pat Mayse Lake, Novice, Midcity, Chicota, Faught, Forest Chapel, Belk and Garretts Bluff.
