* WHAT...For the Dense Smoke Advisory, dense smoke will reduce visibility to less than one nautical mile. For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 1 to 3 ft expected. For the Gale Watch, northwest winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and waves 6 to 11 ft possible.

* WHERE...Grand Marais to Whitefish Point MI.

* WHEN...For the Dense Smoke Advisory, until 8 AM EDT this morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 2 PM this afternoon to 11 PM EDT this evening. For the Gale Watch, from Tuesday morning through late Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low visibility will make navigation difficult.
