Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the following county, Wilkes.

* WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 511 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the heavy rain which prompted the advisory has ended. However, water from these earlier rains may still be collecting in low lying areas. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Warrior Creek, Moravian Creek, West Prong Moravian Creek, Big Warrior Creek, Cub Creek, Yadkin River and Reddies River. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... North Wilkesboro...
