* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with peak heat indices in the triple digits up to around 110 degrees; localized higher heat indices are possible.
* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT /9 PM EDT/ this evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Maximum heat indices both Friday and Saturday ranged from 102 degrees to 113 degrees, but most locations were in the 105 to 110 degree range. Today will see similar numbers, as actual air temperatures top out from the mid 90s to near 100 degrees again.
