At 555 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and weak waterspouts. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located near Dulac, or 9 nm north of Terrebonne Bay, moving southwest at 10 knots.
