At 1202 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located 23 nm southeast of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, or 26 nm southwest of Southwest Pass Of the Mississippi River, moving west at 15 knots.
Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher waves, small hail and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes.
