The following message is transmitted at the request of the Montague County Emergency Management.

WILDFIRE - EVACUATE NOW...

* AT 1153 AM CDT, a dangerous wildfire was located near 1828 Starkey Road, or 7 miles northwest of St. Jo, moving rapidly southwest.

* Areas impacted...Rural areas from Nobile Road eastward to Starkey Road and north of Highway 59.

* Additional Information...Residents in these areas are asked to evacuate due to a rapidly spreading wildfire. Do not drive into smoke.
