For the Pascagoula River...including Graham Ferry...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.
* WHERE...Pascagoula River at Graham Ferry.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 20.1 feet, Flood of Record occurred on February 21, 1961. Some homes in the Cumbest Bluff area will flood. Deep water will cover access to river property along the river. Sections of MS Highway 614 will be inundated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 18.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Sunday was 18.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.5 feet this afternoon and then gradually fall to 17.4 feet by Tuesday. The river could rise again to near 17.8 feet by Friday morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.4 feet on 01/03/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
