Rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches occurred in portions of southwest Nebraska last night and early this morning. As a result, the area is more susceptible to flash flooding. Thunderstorms have developed in northeast Colorado and may bring additional heavy rain later this evening and through the overnight hours.
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Nebraska, including the following counties, Dundy, Hitchcock and Red Willow.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT /7 AM CDT/ Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall moving across saturated ground from previous rainfall.
