The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Apache County in northeastern Arizona...

* Until midnight MDT.

* At 858 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Chinle, Canyon De Chelly National Monument, Del Muerto, Chinle Municipal Airport, Mummy Cave Overlook, Tsaile and White Clay.

This includes Highway 191 between mile markers 446 and 449.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Cottonwood Campground, Tsegi Overlook, Junction Overlook, White House Overlook, Antelope House Overlook, Face Rock Overlook and Spider Rock Overlook.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Chinle Wash, Wheatfields Creek, Whiskey Creek, Tse Deeshzhaai Wash, Sheep Dip Creek, Agua Sal Creek, Nazlini Wash, Tiis Ndiitsooi Wash, Muerto, Canyon del, Coyote Wash, Cottonwood Wash and Black Rock Canyon.
