* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Central Elbert County in east central Colorado...
* WHEN...Until 800 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 455 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages... Antelope Creek, Water Gulch, Middle Bijou Creek, Reed Springs Creek, Comanche Creek, Beaver Creek, Agate Creek, West Bijou Creek, Wilson Creek, Big Sandy Creek, Key Creek, East Bijou Creek and Spring Branch. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include... Simla and Agate.
