...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...
Driftwood River near Edinburgh.
East Fork White River at Columbus.
Flatrock River near Columbus.
East Fork White River at Seymour.
Big Blue River at Shelbyville.
East Fork White River near Rivervale.
.Minor flooding will continue along the East Fork White River. The initial crest is near Columbus and Seymour as of last Saturday morning and should reach Rivervale around Tuesday. Additional rainfall more than an inch in these basins could increase the crests. Moderate flooding continues on the Big Blue at Shelbyville but crest has occurred and the river is falling there.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Big Blue River at Shelbyville.
* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.3 feet, Extensive flooding occurring along Big Blue River. Several residences in Shelbyville had water in their yards on March 6, 2011. One day later extensive flooding at mile marker 82.5 in the Edinburgh area. Several homes along Sugar Creek were evacuated when the level peaked at nine ft on the New Palestine gage one day earlier.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 16.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM EDT Saturday was 16.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
