Flood Warning

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...

Driftwood River near Edinburgh.

East Fork White River at Columbus.

Flatrock River near Columbus.

East Fork White River at Seymour.

Big Blue River at Shelbyville.

East Fork White River near Rivervale.

.Minor flooding will continue along the East Fork White River. The initial crest is near Columbus and Seymour as of last Saturday morning and should reach Rivervale around Tuesday. Additional rainfall more than an inch in these basins could increase the crests. Moderate flooding continues on the Big Blue at Shelbyville but crest has occurred and the river is falling there.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...East Fork White River near Rivervale.

* WHEN...From Sunday evening to Saturday, August 22.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, A few local county roads begin to flood and are impassable. These include Buddha Road south of the gage and Lawrenceport Road. All local roads across the East Fork White River are threatened by high water, and some are closed. Flooding of agricultural lands in Lawrence County is in progress.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 13.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening to a crest of 21.8 feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday, August 22. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
