At 217 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15 miles southeast of Sylva, or 4 miles east of Lake Glenville, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include... Lake Toxaway, Lake Glenville, Black Balsam Area, B.R. Parkway-Black Balsam To Mount Pisgah, B.R. Parkway-Balsam Gap To Black Balsam Area, Gorges State Park, Balsam Grove, Sapphire, and Wolf Mountain.
