For the following areas... Coastal Waters from Cape Charles Light to Virginia-North Carolina border out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Parramore Island to Cape Charles Light VA out 20 NM...

At 432 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Great Machipongo Inlet to Cape Charles Light to Virginia Beach Oceanfront, moving east at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include... Chesapeake Light Tower, Anglo African Wreck, Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Cape Henry, Ship Shoal Inlet, Sandbridge, Great Machipongo Inlet, Sand Shoal Inlet, Fishermans Island, 10 Nm East Of Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Cape Charles Light, Cape Henry Wreck, and Rudee Inlet.
