At 445 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Pottstown. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Pottstown, Phoenixville, West Norriton, East Norriton, Birdsboro, Collegeville, Royersford, Trappe, Honey Brook, Schwenksville, Elverson and Green Lane.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 176 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 1 and 6. Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 296 and 309.
